Vietnam Moving Wall 2023

Sunday April 30th was the Escort for the Vietnam Moving Wall at Wickham Park, Melbourne, Florida. The day started out as a wash, I sat outside my house with pouring rain wondering if this would happen. Mike R. who lives west of me assured me the Skys look good, No Rain, No Rain. Putting on my rain jacket I jumped on my bike thinking the show must go on!!! Suddenly the Rain stopped. Proceeding, stopped at Mike's house and, running late, we headed to the meet up.

The 35th Annual processional escort of Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall started soon after we arrived. We met up with the VFW Riders club and joined them for the ride down. Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is housed in a trailer. The Trailer is at the head of the hundreds of motorcycles that joined the ride (police escort at front). No stopping on the ride down, police/rider at every intersection. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a 3/5 scale replica of Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. The wall is assembled when we arrived.

The Wall arrival marks the start of Florida's 35th Annual All Veterans Reunion at the park (see flyer below). The event is open to the public. There are many displays of military, Vendors, food, live music and beer. Event is May 4th thru 7th. I have attended year after year and enjoy it. Check out Escort ride pictures!
